1. Introduction

Blind Youth Association Nepal is seeking for a qualified consultant who can develop a disability-friendly comprehensive sexual and reproductive health rights toolkit/training manual for young people with disabilities. The consultant will be responsible to develop the toolkit on  SRHR with a specific focus on advocacy of SRH rights of the person with disabilities. 24 trained young people will then work as a facilitator and transfer their skills and knowledge to young people with disabilities in their respective local areas. Along with it, they will also work as a youth advocate in their respective local level by designing their advocacy plan.

The Toolkit should be designed in very simple and easy languages-Nepali. While designing the toolkit consultant should give more priority to the concept of infotainment (Information with entertainment)

(Note: Consultant should have prior experiences in developing youth-friendly training manuals and should have knowledge on the issues of disabilities and comprehensive sexual and reproductive health rights)

 

2. Requirements

• Desk review and research on the field and similar training manual related to the field
• Development of disability-friendly manual which can be easily delivered to and understood by the person with disabilities such as blind, deaf-hard of hearing and physical disability
• The consultant shall responsible to develop the manual/toolkit (Facilitator guideline) for the conduction of 3 days of residential training (6 PWDs will be the participate from 4 districts to work as SRHR facilitator)
• The consultation shall work in close coordination (for regular updates, work progress, technical support, and inputs) with the head of the organization, the director and the project coordinator.
